Community Minded and Giving Back
We believe in being of use within communities, paying it forward and giving back.
How do we do this?
We do this by supporting community groups, clubs, charities, organisations, committees, grass-roots groups (and other entity types) that are helping their community and/or helping create positive change either locally, nationally and/or internationally. For these entity types we offer our services either via partial-contra and/or in-kind sponsorships [more information about this is here], aid with grant applications, and/or we find other ways to be of use. Below are some of the entities we have assisted and/or supported so far:
Bundaberg District Scouts
We provide the Bundaberg District Scouts website. We are an in-kind sponsor. We also provided digital media, branding, website and graphic design services when Bundaberg District Scouts hosted a South-East Queensland camp called Kiwi Woggle. Information about this project is here.
Share the Dignity
We try to donate at least 1x bag each year as part of Share the Dignity. Share the Dignity is a women’s charity in Australia, that works to make a difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough in other ways.
Bethlehem Live Bundaberg
We provide the Bethlehem Live Bundaberg website via in-kind sponsorship. Bethlehem Live Bundaberg is a community event held every 2 years. The heart behind Bethlehem Live is to provide a free and inclusive Christmas event that is interactive, fun and joyful, that not only brings the story of Christmas to life in a unique and exploratory way, but also seeks to offer practical care and support to those within our community who may be doing it tough.
4Ocean.com
4Ocean are a global cleanup operation that recovers millions of pounds of trash from the world’s oceans, rivers, and coastlines every year. Some of our clients put a 4Ocean badge on their website to help create awareness about what 4Ocean do. Some also display posters in their physical shops. We also buy their bracelets where money raised from their product sales goes toward funding the clean up efforts.
Bargara Bowls Club
We provide the website for Bargara Bowls Club in regional Queensland. This is via a partial-contra in-kind sponsorship agreement. We also provide their email hosting.
Bundaberg Disability Resource Centre and Toy Library
We built the Bundaberg Disability Resource Centre and Toy Library website several years ago via a partial-contra in-kind sponsorship agreement. We also did some photography work for the website.
Love Your Sister
As we grow, we hope to donate to Love Your Sister, to assist with their fundraising efforts to help vanquish all cancer via scientific research. We have in the past bought socks from their website and we plan to assist further in whatever ways we can. There are also many other products and ways to donate.
Buy a Bale
As Green Valley Digital grows we intend to support Buy a Bale when we can. We know every dollar helps farmers in need during times of drought. We know this first-hand. Jay Daniells grew up on a farm (3rd generation) in rural Queensland.
Relay for Life - Cancer Council
We have organised a Relay For Life team in the past, which included extensive fundraising. We may put another team together in the future.
Clean Up Australia Day
We have participated in Clean Up Australia Day in recent years. This is probably something we will do many times again.
