Digital marketing is essential for businesses to reach a wider, targeted audience, gain measurable data on campaign performance, and achieve a higher return on investment (ROI) compared to traditional methods. It allows for real-time adjustments, personalised customer engagement, and creates a level playing field for small businesses to compete with larger companies and/or brands.

There are certainly oodles of Digital Marketing businesses in Australia. Choosing the one that is the right fit for you though, is key.

If you’re already working with a Digital Marketing business, if they are getting you excellent results and you’re very happy with them, then there would be no reason to consider moving to us.

On the other hand, if you feel they are not listening, not friendly, and/or you’re being palmed off to a junior (inexperienced) employee, being mislead, lied to, deceived, being used as a ‘source of money’ (being ripped off and ‘tapped’ as a money extraction source), or you have other concerns, or issues with them, then considering us would certainly be a very good option.

A strong online presence helps consumers find and trust a business (or other entity type).

Over 76% of potential consumers research businesses, companies (and other enterprise types) online before:

  1. Visiting their physical store (if they have one)
  2. Considering contacting the business
  3. Considering buying from the business

This is a very good question to ask.

When looking for a digital marketing agency, look beyond polished pitches and focus on technical competence, AI adaptability, and clear ROI tracking.

Never jump in without asking the right questions first, unless you want to end up having a bad experience.

If you search Google for: “Questions a business should ask when looking for a digital marketing agency” you will find a good list.

We haven’t written a full list here, as it would make this FAQ too long to read. However, here are some very important questions:

  1. What will the first 30 – 90 days of the growth roadmap look like? Look for a structured approach involving audits, research, and benchmarking rather than immediate attempts at “explosive” results.
  2. Do you have case studies you can show me? Look for those who can provide quality case studies, that DON’T reveal sensitive confidential growth data about the businesses that they worked for. That information SHOULD NOT be shared and is a breach of trust. Avoid those who publish ‘vanity metrics’.
  3. Ask if they will sign a Confidentiality Agreement. If they won’t sign one, don’t ask them any further questions. Simply move on.
  4. Who will be doing the actual work? If they can not tell you that the work will be done by Australians, move on. Agencies who send work to people they have never met in countries like the Philippines are creating security issues (and divulging your private business information to people you DO NOT know). All this can compromise your business.
  5. Are you a Sales Rep, or will you actually be the person I will be working with? All too often you’ll be sold to by a smart-talking Sales Rep and not the person or people who will be your direct contact if you choose them to work for you. ONLY communicate with those you will be working with. For example, if you choose to work with us, you will be speaking with the person managing your Digital Marketing, who will be your direct contact and who will be doing a lot of the work (with help from our team member assistants) and will also be doing the Quality Assurance (QA) checks.
  6. How do you approach AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and AI? A competent agency should explain how they optimise for AI systems like Perplexity, Gemini, and ChatGPT to get your business cited and found.
  7. What unique challenges have you helped similar businesses overcome?
  8. How do you integrate different marketing channels into one strategy? Avoid agencies that work in silos (eg. PPC, SEO, and social teams not sharing data and/or not working collaboratively).
  9. Speak with current or former clients. Speaking with some of their other clients can provide insight into their operational reliability.
